STAKEHOLDERS FUNCTION 2009
The Department of Finance & Investment Management held a Stakeholders Function on Thursday, 19 November, to thank there stakeholders who contributed to the success, growth and exposure of the Department during 2009.
The honored guests were: The Dean of the Faculty of Economic & Financial Science, Prof Amanda Dempsey, the HOD of the Department, Prof Gideon Els and high profile members of: ABSA, Sanlam, KPMG, the Financial Planning Institute, Lexis Nexis, SAIFM, CIMA, Nedbank, Old Mutual, Discovery, Van Schaik as well as external moderators.
Prof Els welcomed the guests and talked about the close and successful relationships the Department has built and kept during the year and that the Department can always count on its stakeholders to launch and fund special projects, which were all very successful during 2009. The Department is looking forward to more great ventures and projects in 2010 and the contribution and participation of all their stakeholders and would like to involve many more high profile companies in their future plans.
It was a memorable evening, despite the unexpected cold weather – good friends and good food were enjoyed and good relationships and new collaborations were celebrated – all were very positive about 2010!
