Can the youth overcome South Africa's racist legacy?

Universities are to be considered great institutions of higher learning. A place where the future leaders and policy makers develop character. Why is it that in less than a year, a number of institutions have become the breeding grounds of racially motivated incidents? Have the seeds of racism been so deeply imbedded, that our youth are turning out to be no better than the generations that have preceeded them?
