Student residences and noise
Due to the unmaintained noise levels (hooting, loud music, shouting, loud conversations etc) coming from the student residences and sidewalks in Aberdeen Street, Westdene at ungodly hours of the night and early morning, this notice serves as a warning that the South African Police Dept will be contacted immediately should this inconsiderate behaviour of the occupants continue.
It is noted that there is a need for student residences, but Westdene remains to be a residential area, not a campus.
Further legal steps will also be taken to close down these residences if the owners and their occupants don’t comply.
