Crèche shooting sentencing underway
Eyewitness News reports Uriel Abrahamse’s lawyers on Tuesday asked the Newlands Magistrate’s Court for a non-custodial sentence.
The former Luthuli House employee was found guilty of culpable homicide last year after a stray bullet hit four-year-old Richard Balang Junior in Westdene, Johannesburg in 2008.
Abrahamse was first to take the stand when sentencing proceedings got underway.
