Soccer World Cup - update from CSS

Unfortunately the major event has come to an end and the obvious heavy police presence in our operational areas will cease. There has been concern from residents as to the level of crime and debate as to whether it will increase.

We are pleased to report that we will be maintaining our links with the various SAPS stations, cluster operations centers and specialised units. The event was a great opportunity for us to show our operational capabilities to the various security agencies and in so doing, continue to forge solid working relationships that will continue past the event into the future.

In anticipation of the spike in crime, we recently deployed an advanced protection team who are working in conjunction with our Strike Team.

They patrol both on foot and in vehicles. Their daily deployment is decided by a committee consisting of operations, intelligence and logistics departments based on the current area threats and crime analysis.
